packaging directive and packaging essential requirements compliance

The recovery and recycling of packaging at the end of its life has been regulated since 1997. Companies over a certain 3 size are legally required to recover and recycle waste packaging and all companies must minimise over-packaging and avoid the use hazardous substances.

Packaging redesign can help you to meet the requirements of these regulations whilst significantly reducing both the costs of compliance and raw materials. We offer the following services:

Packaging design reviews
An assessment of the implications of the Packaging Regulations
Advice on the Packaging (Essential Requirements) Regulations

efficent and effective packaging

Packaging delivers protection product information, containment, a marketing platform, security and transit systems. It is a good thing. But you can have too much of a good thing.

Efficient packaging systems deliver added value in terms of increased utility or to put it another way they do more with less. We are working with Asda Stores and Yorkshire Fresh Salads to reduce a range of food and retail packaging in order to deliver fresh products and reduce resource use. We have also worked on a number of packaging re-designs including detergent bottles, silicon building sealants and electronic products.
